The farms

Both Los Juncales and La Casa del Agua are farms where the plantations follow a traditional framework; this is a 10 metres x 10 metres frame, in which each olive tree is really 3 plants together.

Our olive groves are completely irrigated in all the developments, therefore we obtain a spectacular regularity both in the harvest and in its quality.

Respect for the environment is an agronomic aspect which Galgón 99, S.L. has been backing since its beginnings, although not yet practicing ecological farming, our policy is aimed at integrated production, such as: the use of the pruning waste as organic fertilizer, maintenance of the vegetable cover in half of the litters, in this way reducing the soil erosion and aiding the permeability of the soil and also avoiding the irrational use of herbicides, therefore helping with the micro habitat of the hunting species, for which we have an external department formed by biologists and agricultural engineers who are in charge of the entire process of managing the farms, from plague control, watering and fertilization plans,…., to the performing of the olive’s maturity rate, to ensure that really objective decisions can be made by the management.

Both farms are fitted out with the latest technologies and automatisms, for certain working activities such as irrigation by sectors, taking into account the type of land forming the area, for more or less hours to be applied according to the permeability of the land, the slopes, etc., as well as the fertilizing system that is employed using the irrigation system (ferti-irrigation), in such a way that the composition of the fertilizer is dissolved with the water so that it may be anabolysed by the plant in a more effective and optimum way.

For Galgón 99, S.L. our olive groves are the true oil factory, since these are the ones that are going to offer this fruit holding the juice inside it that latter on we will obtain in a completely natural way, without any manipulation whilst extracting it, that is to say, without chemical mediation or the need to use a transformation process since as a juice, the only thing that we will do in the oil grinding mill will be to extract it, as if we were talking about orange juice.
